Why Cartoons Rule In The World Of Humor

by Alexa Ferotina

Comedy’s real king may have you fooled. You might be surprised that more people view newspaper and Internet cartoons than all the funny movies, sitcoms, late night shows, and stand-up comedians put together.

This should actually come as no surprise. In today’s fast-paced world, many simply do not have time to get their “humor fix” within a thirty minute or hour period. If you really think about it, even when listening to a joke, these days, in person, if it goes beyond twenty to thirty seconds, they have lost you.

Cartoons tell the whole story fast, and a good cartoon tells it faster and funnier than a bad one. and, it may take a few more seconds for the reader to “get it”, based on their own “laughter quotient”, but it can be quite satisfying, and does the trick. Even modern medicine agrees that surrounding oneself with good cartoon humor can boost the immune system, as laughter releases endorphins that help protect it.

Please don’t misconstrue what I am saying. I continue to watch Jay Leno, Jon Stewart, Conan, or reruns of great old sitcoms when I can. They are all very funny, to me, and many others, and I have to see a film in the genre of “Harold And Maude”, “Something About Mary” or even an Austin Powers once in awhile. But that takes timing and scheduling, luxuries I don’t have as much of as I once did.

Meantime, in today’s world, which is loaded with both joys and disappointments daily, it is nice, no pertinent to have a quick humor fix. No other venue can do that like a cartoon, specifically a single panel cartoon, which, if not wordy, does the trick fast and furious.

I hereby submit my complication review favorite single-panel cartoons in the order of which I think they satisfy and/or are the funniest. Of course all humor is subjective, so you may have another take on it. In any case, these are my top 6 choices. Londons Times Cartoons is one you might want to bookmark as there are over 8000 cartoons by Rick London and they are funny. Off TheMark by Mark Parisi also has a large inventory but not quite the size as Londons Times. Londons Times are 99% in color, which is oh so joyful for viewing and chuckling (sometimes very loud).

1. Londons Times Cartoons 2. Speed Bump 3. Rubes 4. Off The Mark 5. Dr. Fun 6. Strange Brew

Fibromyalgia Pain Relief Methods - Simple, Effective

by Walt Brown

Remember. Fibromyalgia is not directly life-threatening. The degree of symptoms may vary greatly from day to day with periods of flares (severe worsening of symptoms) or remission; however, the disorder is generally perceived as non-progressive. It is not a condition that gets worse and worse. But the pain is real and often difficult to treat because the symptoms overlap with other maladies.

Everyday Fibromyalgia Pain Relief Methods That Work Like a Charm

The first thing you should do in the morning is exercise, espedially if you are up at the crack of dawn. This is the best time to take a 10 to 15 minute walk. Gradually work up to at least an hour of walking early in the morning for the best results. Exercise will relieve your Fibromyalgia pain, if done on a consisten basis.

Aim For A Low Carbohydrate Diet

Another way in which you could achieve Fibromyalgia pain relief is through a low carbohydrates diet complemented by high consumption of protein. You need to be careful and avoid all the saturated fats from your diet, as well as sugar, alcohol, caffeine, and the like. A closely guarded diet and a good and regular exercising regime could work wonders here.

Use A Heating Pad

Get out the old heating pad. This handy appliance can be applied to the afflicted are and will increase the circulation. Increased bllod flow will mitiagate the symptoms of fibromyalgia. If you joints tend to stiffen up apply the heating pad to them too and the heat should loosen them up. A heating pad can be used at any time.

Topical Applications

In an emergency, there are many over-the-counter medications available at your local pharmacy or favorite supermarket. These medications come in lotions or ointments and are applied directly to the area in pain. Rubbing them in may relieve the Fibromyalgia pain. This may be a trial and error process to see whch ones work best.

Deep Tissue Massage

Remember. It is important to use a professional for this type of massage because of the depth of the massage which may damage muscles if hot done correctly. Meditation can be done while the massage is going on which ehlpos reduce stress and relax the muscles. Some people swear by Yoga as a stress reducer.

Combinations

Try combining a few of the methods delineated above. You should experiment and see which combination works best for you. Everyone is different so what works for one prson may not work for you. In any case, do not give up on the diet changes and excercise program as these are proven pain killers.

Treating Like With Like

You could also try out homeopathy cures for this pain - which is often highly effective Many scoff at this and say that this is only a placebo effect, but so what if it works

Being careful with Online Dating is Your Best Bet

by L.Buck

We all hear how every year, tens of thousands of people get married as a result of meeting that someone compatible or special from an online dating service. Do you ever wonder how they went about finding that out? Well now it’s your turn to do so.

The guy or gal you just met from an on-line dating service really wants to meet with you in person. You share in the same feelings and think your really compatible so why not just meet where ever he or she wants to in person?

Well all you have to do is follow a few of my own personal rules and which can help teach you all about the basics of safe internet dating and where to go from there. After spending sufficient time talking, emailing, and even talking by video cam with that special someone, you have finally reached a point that the two of you want to meet.

Common sense is my first rule of thumb. Trust works both ways. You should never let anyone you’ve just met from an online dating service make you feel uncomfortable. Try to read his or her whole body language not just what is coming out of their mouths.

Look for something that might indicate if your online dating partner might not be telling you the whole truth about themselves or with some experiences they may have shared with you. Rehash a conversation you recently had to see if any details may have changed. If so, they may not be trustworthy.

I believe that most people who actually invest their time and money into a online dating site are really looking to meet that someone special. Dating sites try and insist the information you give about yourself be as true to actual as possible. Its the screening process that makes you attractive to someone so don’t blow it by falsifying who you are.

Security comes from being smart about putting your self into compromising situations. You can never be to careful with trusting others from online dating services. Its important to discover as much about a person as possible and for a serious length of time before you actually meet in person.

Also some online dating services offer “background checks” and when you are signing up for their services. How do you know for sure how thorough it was? With this claim you may find that subconsciously you may have let your guard down but please don’t do that.

Not every state follows the same rules and guidelines when it comes to performing background checks on people. When you sign with a online dating service and they offer this service to you, take this as part of the whole equation of your assessing who a person really is and what they are truly about.

Their is no need to rush into any relationship with anyone you meet through an online dating service. Your guard and apprehension is your only weapon of defense. Be logical and smart about the position you are putting yourself in. If you feel you have honesty in the person you have met then keep moving forward and slow.

by C. Raymond Merrick

Vinegar has been around since the dawn of history. References to it can be found in writings of the world’s first known civilization - the Sumerians.

Natural vinegar is produced when the airborne bacteria, “acetobacter aceti” comes in contact with liquids that have less than 18% alcohol content.

The Sumerians (thought be the very first civilization) used vinegar as an anti-biotic, general tonic, condiment, detergent and preservative.

One of the best known traditional vinegars is known as balsamic vinegar (aceto balsamico). Literary references to it first appeared in 1046 AD. The birthplace of balsamic vinegar is Modena, Italy.

The past few years has seen an increase in interest for balsamic vinegar. This heightened interest is largely due to the creations of inventive chefs at upscale restaurants. Their use of balsamic vinegar in recipes has alerted millions of patrons to the savory tastes of this traditional vinegar.

Pressured with Bills - Do You Need to Consolidate Debt?

by Michael Benifez

It is easy to get into debt farther than you thought you could. By borrowing a little hear and there, things can really add up until you are completely overwhelmed. You may have no money left after paying bills, or maybe you can’t even pay your bills. It may seem like bankruptcy is the only way out, but there is hope through debt consolidation. Through debt consolidation, you can solve your problems and save your credit score.

What is debt consolidation?

Debt consolidation is a service that is available to help you manage your debt. It creates a possibility to make a single monthly payment with lower interest rates to make repayment more manageable. When you find a good debt consolidation company, they will work the information you give them about your credit, debts, and unsecured loans to figure out the best way to proceed. Usually, they will work out deals with the creditors. They, in turn, become the creditor. You will pay them a single monthly payment at a lower interest rate. You will now know for sure when your debt will be paid off, and you can avoid bankruptcy.

How can I get debt consolidation help and for how much?

Often times, debt consolidation is free, although sometimes there is a small fee. There are many different types of ways to go about getting debt consolidation help.

One of the ways to get free help is though online financial analysis or debt guidance. You can also get information to help you from non-profit groups. These groups are affiliated with the government, and they offer free counselors to learn about your situation and give you meaningful advise based on what you tell them. They will help you manage your current debts while avoiding falling farther into debt.

Another option is to pay a small fee to a credit repair company, debt management company, or a bank to help you. They will provide fast, easy service. You can pay these groups a single payment each month, and they will in turn pay each creditor. You may think this doesn’t really help you besides helping with the hassle of having numerous credit card bills coming in each month, but they do more than that. They work with the creditors to reduce your interest rates and/or balance, so they are saving you money, even though they are making some money from you by providing you that service.

You may wonder if your debt is bad enough that you need help like this. If you cannot make the minimum payments each month, you could definitely use the help. Even if you can make the minimum payment, the balance is not reduced unless you pay more than that. Consumers trying to consolidate debt with bad credit is probably more difficult. If a short time goes by where you can only afford to pay the minimum, it’s probably fine. If that happens consistently though, you should seek help to reduce your debt by finding the best way to consolidate.

How to Give your Partner the Right Gift

by Wendy Bridger

Giving gifts to your partner is not as easy as it seems. Many of us enjoy showing our love in the form of a gift. After much time, thought, and often money, you happily give it to them. Sometimes, things end up just as they do on the diamond commercials with a passionate kiss and expressions of love. But often, the giver is disappointed in the receiver’s reaction, and the receiver is either indifferent or hurt by the gift.

How can this possibly happen when both the giver and the receiver love each other very much? The answer: there are several different types of gifts, and each of us has a preference to what we choose to give and what we’d like to receive. It is important for our partner to know what type he is and what type we are, so that he gives us type of gift we value, and we give him the type that he appreciates.

Some people prefer traditional gifts. These are the stereotypical types of gifts that lovers give to one another. A dozen roses, jewelry, or a spa gift certificate are all good examples of a traditional gift. Traditional gifts usually cost money, the pricier the better, as this is how the receiver often judges it’s worth. The traditional gift receiver feels valued by how much is spent on them.

There are those who love sentimental gifts. A love letter, handmade gifts, or dates created uniquely for the receiver are all examples of sentimental gifts. Often this type of gift costs little money. What the sentimental gift receiver is interested in is the time and heart you put into what you are giving them.

Some like unseen gifts. These gift receivers aren’t interested in tangible gifts. They prefer the unseen devotion their partner could give them every day. Unseen gifts include financially providing for them, regularly doing housework, or saying how much you love them every day. This type of gift receiver appreciates what you add to their lives each day to improve it.

Finally, there are some people who love to get gifts surrounding their hobbies or life passions. An avid runner would love a pedometer. A musician would love tickets to see their favorite band play. A computer techie would love the latest and greatest gadget to go on their computer. A hobby receiver will value the gift on how well it will allow them to enjoy their passion even better.

By finding out what type of gift receiver your partner is, you can always choose the right gift and stop getting gifts that are unappreciated. For example, a gym membership would be the perfect gift for the right kind of hobby gift receiver, but it might hurt the feelings of a traditional gift receiver. Knowing your partner is key to connecting with them in gift giving and in so many other ways.

Some Information on Your Babies Bash and Baby Game Shower

by Amanda Maseko

The baby bash depends on the age of the baby. For one year olds, clowns would do so that he or she can facilitate the party since the most important guests would be the little children. Magic shows and puppetry would be sufficient to keep the children interested and satisfied. While for two years old and older, since by this time, they are already mobile and have learned to walk, a costume party or an amusement park theme would be the solution to keep the kids happy, balloons to keep them preoccupied, cotton candy to keep them busy and lots and lots of kiddie food.

You should make sure you prepare food. Since this is a kiddie party, finger foods should comprise most of your menu. Kids easily tire of food and so small portions must be served at them. If possible, separate the food of the parents with the kids, if the parents were invited.

Whatever you have decided what the baby bash must be like, keep in mind that the baby’s comfort is more important. Sometimes, there are babies who are afraid of clowns. You must have an alternative activity in mind in case this happens.

The baby shower

Babies are so much fun. But baby games shower are much more fun since moms-to-be, godparents, grandparents, and other invitees in the baby shower can get to play childish games again. Some of the baby game shower that can be played include Sing It, Baby!, Measuring up Mommy, Here’s Looking at You, Kid!, Don’t Say Baby, Baby Truth or Dare, The Seventh Gift, and Dig out the Pins.

How big has mommy become? Is one game that is commonly played and it is done measuring up Mommy. Have a couple of toilet paper rolls ready and ask each participant to estimate the size of mommy’s girth by cutting the toilet paper to their guess size. Then each one wraps around the new mommy’s stomach the toilet paper they cut. The nearest length approximating to the mommy’s stomach wins the prize!

This baby game shower is for those who love baby trivia and the like. Play Baby Truth or Dare by writing down some baby trivia, some correct and others purposely written incorrectly. During the baby game shower, ask randomly if the baby facts are either true or false. Those who guess correctly, get a prize while those who don’t will be dared to perform in front of everyone else.

Can a Steel Building be Moved to Another Location?

by Amy Nutt

Sometimes, moving is something that is necessary. Everything has to be packed up in order to be taken to the new destination. It all has to be loaded in a moving vehicle of some sort only to be unpacked when it reaches the new location. After everything is taken out of the building, you look back at it with sadness because of the fond memories you have, but that is something you must leave behind. Well, you’re at least leaving the neighborhood behind.

You stand there watching how these guys are putting the building on the back of an 18 wheeler and you can’t wait until it is delivered to the new location that your company acquired. There is more land and more steel buildings to be delivered to the location. Not too many people can move to a location that is ten miles away from them and actually take the building with them.

Depending on the size of the steel building, it can be moved in pieces and put together at its final destination. Sometimes a steel building may be like a storage container that is used as an office. Whatever the reason, there is a process to moving a steel building. It may seem like a mystery to some as to how it is possible to move something so large and so heavy, but the process is rather easy at times.

It doesn’t matter if the building is new and just being built or is an existing structure that needs to be moved, it has to be divided up into pieces. When it is a new building, the pieces are built, shipped to the building’s destination, and then assembled there. If the building is an existing structure, then it will be divided into the same pieces it was in when it arrived brand new. After this occurs, the following steps take place:

- The pieces are lifted by a building jack apparatus. The buildings are usually built with slots in which the building jack apparatus can be inserted.

- The jack then lifts the building up to a predetermined height, but instead of it being lifted onto the truck, the truck backs up under the lifted building. The jack then lowers the building onto the bed of the trailer.

- When the building meets its destination, the same method can be used to lift the building off of the trailer bed or the trailer bed may be hydraulic and can carefully slide the building off of the back of it. This step depends on whether or not that piece of the building can stand on its own. This process is repeated for all of the pieces. Depending on the size of the building, it can take several trucks to move the building.

However, when moving a steel building that has already been in place for a while, it is necessary to employ a company that has the trucks, the manpower, and the proper tools to move a steel building. Usually, those who actually manufacture them can provide moving services for people who need to move steel buildings, but such services do come with a cost. It is more or less going to depend on how many pieces need transported and the size of the building. These factors will determine how many trucks are needed, what tools are needed, and how many people need to be involved in the moving effort. It can be quite extensive. At least if anyone has doubts about a steel building being able to be moved, you can contradict them by telling them that you know the basics of how it is done.

What do You Have to Do To Make Money Online?

by Russell Marsh

It seems that lots of people are being sucked into the idea that you can quite simply make a lot of money by having a computer that’s connected to the Internet. Knock up a website and wait for the money to pour in. If I were you I’d re-think that strategy if it is your genuine intention to make money online.

The real fact is that starting an online home business can be very profitable and you can make some good money if you do it right. To get the incentive you just have to imagine being your own boss and then you have to put the effort in to make it work. The actual truth of the matter is that you will probably do MORE hours than what you normally consider to be full time initially but the hours can then shrink as you start to make money and can invest in more tools to automate your online business.

There are many businesses in a box on the Internet which you can join for a fee and they will more often than not include a website and various tools to help you run the business. One thing they will not include, and this is the vital part if you are to make any money, is the marketing that any business requires.

Anybody think of starting an online business should first of all take a tour of some sites like Infogoround, CarbonCopyPRO and a few others. You will find that most of the business opportunity sites use a lead capture page as the initial landing page. The single purpose of this page is to get usually your first name and your email address. This is purely because it’s been proved over time that most people will not get involved in a business on their first visit to a website so to increase the money making potential from all their visitors they want your contact info so they can market to you via an autoresponder and keep reminding you about the opportunity. Don’t be afraid to give these details, there will always be an unsubscribe link in every message you receive so you can stop receiving these ‘reminders’ any time you wish. Home businesses will hardly ever be money makers overnight so you have to be aware of this. Maybe joining under a leader who has already demonstrated that he knows the ropes is the answer. You can always be sure of great advice from him then, especially if he stands to gain from your success.

Most people don’t consider this but before starting out on the Internet take a backward step and look back over your life so far. I’m willing to bet that every reader has a special skill that could easily be a money maker but they probably just never considered it. I’ll bet you have a “certain way” you do a certain job that saves time or “learned to deal with that certain problem” that lots of people would consider valuable. Your unique skill or talent could be a real money maker so just think about it and consider carefully what you can offer.

A common route to making money on the Internet is to start by selling somebody else’s product or service. This is called affiliate marketing. There are web sites such as Commission Junction and Clickbank where it’s possible to sign up for free and get access to thousands of products that you can promote for up to 70% commission. If you’re taking people to your own page as a primer then there are lots of content sites and directories where you can get suitable content. The only important thing after that is to have a marketing plan. You need to get people in front of your offer or else it’s all for nothing and you won’t make any money.

Making money online is not, as the title suggested, easy and the one thing that will stop you from making any money is definitely the lack of a proper Business Plan. You need to know what you are going to be doing every day before you start. Lets face it, you wouldn’t start a bricks and mortar business without a proper plan and advice would you? So why should you approach an Online Business any differently? Get yourself a real Plan of Action and Stick to it. This is the surest route to making money online.
